Dear Running: I think you're a good influence on me...

Dear Running,

Well, Day One of the new program went well.  I've missed you the past couple of weeks since our 100 mile relay but I needed a bit of a breather.  I HAVE noticed since we haven't spent a lot of time together in the past 2 weeks I've been a little bit grumpier than usual and eating a LOT more ice cream. When we hang out regularly I always feel good and usually have way better self control with sweets.  I think you're a good influence on me.

Well I just found out I got a FREE ENTRY into our marathon we're doing together in October.  Yeah! Free is always good.  I've got my MARATHON TRAINING PROGRAM all posted in my bedroom where I will see it every day.  See?


On a side note - I think we might have to start scheduling our dates a little bit earlier in the day.  I know today we only went 4 miles but it was HOT!  My body's used to that freezing cold/windy time we usually spend together!  We still rocked it though, a whole minute faster than we were planning on today.  You and I both know we're not super SPEEDY together but we get the job done.

Well, tomorrow says we're cross training but we still might be able to sneak in a secret meeting.  Thanks for hanging out with me today!
