Dear Running: but the BUTT....

Dear Running,

I'm not gonna lie....during the first half of our run today I was SO not enjoying spending time with you.  It definitely doesn't help the fact that I live in such a HILLY area and our entire first half was uphill.  The THOUGHT of heading out to run 8 miles today was a daunting task to me and I didn't even sleep well last night knowing it was coming.  When I turned around at the 4 mile mark and the wind hit me in the face I thought the run back was going to be EVEN WORSE!

But somewhere around 4.5 miles I actually started to remember why we're friends.  I felt like I hit my stride and the rest of the way back was actually pretty enjoyable.  I think it's those ENDORPHINS.  If I could figure out how to bottle those babies and sell them I'd be RICH!

The legs and cardio felt pretty good today (but lets not fool anyone into thinking we set any SPEED records....) but the BUTT wasn't feeling the love.  It must have been those hills.  I have a feeling the butt will be complaining for the next 24 hours at least.  Ugh.

Glad it's done for the day.  Tomorrow is 7, but it's a little bit of easy work and temp work and I might hit the track for a change of pace.

Love,

Becka
