Dear Running: Attack Day.

Hey Running,

Sorry we didn't get to really hang out today,  our schedule told me we needed to Cross Train so I paid a visit to my old friend High Intensity Aerobics - or Body Attack.  It actually worked out pretty good because I have a bunch of new choreography to learn for next Monday so it gave me some good practice and a great workout.  I asked my friend if I could use her dance studio to practice so I went down there and worked in front of a mirror for a solid hour.

I have to say one thing about you, Running.  At least I NEVER have to see myself in the mirror while we are working out together....that is so not fun.  There is stuff jiggling that nobody should ever witness and I make some ridiculous faces when I'm "pushing through."  I'm hoping all the core work and jumping jacks will make us even stronger partners as we train for this race.

Tomorrow the schedule says we have to run 8 miles.  I realize in the scheme of a marathon that's not a lot, but SERIOUSLY I can't remember the last time we went that far and I'm a little nervous.  I know we went that far in the spring while we were training for the Tuscon half marathon but since March I think the farthest we've gone is 5.  It should make for an interesting workout.  We'd better knock it out early because tomorrow is supposed to get up to 30 degrees.  Yikes.

Well, I'm going to charge up our buddies GPS watch and iPod and get them ready to go for morning.  See you bright and early, Running!
